Sugar (Shared University Grid at Rice) was decommissioned July 1, 2014. Comprised of 134 Sun Microsystems SunFire x4150 nodes, Sugar served as a compute farm to run exclusively single-node jobs. Each node contained two quad-core 2.83GHz Intel Xeon Harpertown CPUs with 16GB RAM per node.
